I work predominantly using a technique that I developed while living in Italy, which combines painting and lime plaster.

Because the plaster gives the work structural integrity, I have focused on creating works of art that can be adapted to architecture as either large-scale pieces such as murals and floors or smaller decorative panels and tiles.  The idea that original works of art can also have a functional purpose is very interesting to me. I like living with art and designing space with it, whether it be a focal point such as a floor or wall, or a decorative element such as a tile or backsplash.
